#420: Life Changing Albums: My Top 10

10. Continuum by John Mayer
Of all the (very, VERY) little 'non-rock' music I listen to, this was my favorite.

9. Momentum by TobyMac
Rap-rock. While others had Linkin Park, TobyMac delivered the goods for me, just before he fully embraced his hip-hop side. And I'm still convinced Family Force 5 stole the record's 'sound'. (I used to have this in cassette form)

8. Mute Math by Mute Math
Paul Meaney killin' the keys and Darren King owning the drums. Electro rock never sounded this cool.

7. Beneath Medicine Tree by Copeland
The best emo band's best record.

6. Oh! Gravity by Switchfoot
Switchfoot with more of Jerome Fontamillas. Than means a more trademarked 'Switchfoot sound', more weird effects, and more tamborine.

5. Learning to Breathe by Switchfoot
Everybody's favorite 'indie Switchfoot' album.

4. HAARP by Muse
I didn't think Muse could get any better than this. Until I watched the DVD.

3. Welcome to The Freak Show by DC Talk
Before Switchfoot existed for Cedric, there was DC Talk. And this album, THIS was DC Talk. (I have this in cassette form.)

2. Viva La Vida by Coldplay
It was only after listening to this album that my eyes and ears were opened to Coldplay in a whole new light. Also started the Coldplay revolution in my Windows Media Player.

1. The Beautiful Letdown by Switchfoot
The record that kickstarted the whole Switchfoot obsession. Those were the days, playing it on cassette eight times a day, those were the dayssss... (I still have this in cassette form, and boy, does it still sound just as sweet.)
