#248: Hello. Let me introduce you to something called Good Music.

Hypothetical question: Do you listen to Akon, sing along to The Click Five, and label Britney Spears as 'good music'?

If you answered yes to the above, fear not. Redemption is here. In the form of...

Playing a fusion of electro and alternative rock that cooks up sounds somewhat similar to the likes of Mute Math, Athlete is one of UK's best-kept secrets in rock. This fairly new and unheard of band is now touring with Switchfoot- No prizes for guessing where I found them out. [Listen to them here]

Or, if you're the lazy type that doesn't open new windows, watch the videos below.

The power's in the music, and this band proves it. Symphonic guitar riffs are the driving force behind this instrumental band that works up somewhat-belonging to a movie soundtrack-like music. Great stuff if you're looking for less 'tense' rock. I missed them when they came down to Malaysia, 'cuz I drained my wallet for Switchfoot, which happened a few weeks before them. Arggh.

I'll leave you with just two bands to handle. You won't get tired of them by the time I find some other good music.

And no more Britney on the radio!
