#258: Four More Days Baby

In four days' time, someone's gonna be a big boy. It's not Josh Yee, cuz, well, he can never BE big, and it's not George Washington either.

Yes, I (Even if you didn't guess it, just act cool and pretend you knew I was talking about me all along- just because I'm a nice guy) am turning sixteen soon. "Wah! Gum tai jor!" Yes. I'm a big boy. And big boys get what they want. (No, not really. But in Cedricland, it happens) And I want...

Pens. Lots and lots of it. *grin*

A sketchbook. I've filled out my old one already.

A girlfriend. The Jessica Alba kind.

A cool t-shirt.

A good rock concert. Free ticket included.

A holiday to Redang with Nise and Nielle again.

When out-of-this-world imagination and fantasies strike, I'll add to and finish up this list.

#257: This Post Doesn't Have A Title

A week and 5 days ago, (sorry for the late post *grin*) Danielle turned 15.

Don't worry. The last time I checked, she was pretty happy about being the same age as me. But only for awhile.

Thanks for the high fives, random talks, and pet elephant. May the best of your past be the worst of your future*. Happy birthday. You rock.

A day ago, YC's beloved pastor Judah and his wife Xiao Wen packed their bags and left for Adelaide, Australia, better known as the land of thieves.

It was a few years back in an all-boys camp where he gathered all the guys into a meeting place and spent heart-to-heart to heart talks about hot chicks from church that I knew this wasn't an average pastor. And if he does visit my blog, I'll just wish him the best. He's endured enough 'you-better-have-kids-by-the-time-you-come-back' messages already. Oh the pressure.

*"No way Cedric could think something like that up!" You're right. But who did? Unless you're a diehard Switchfoot fan who frequents Switchfoot.com and read the 'Happy Birthday, Chad Butler' post, you'll have no idea. *wink*

#256: Dear USD$2,000

Dearest USD$2,000,

You dominate my thoughts. Not a day goes by without thinking of you. But thinking is never enough. I long to have you, to see you and to hold you.

It was a fated day that I came across a t-shirt designing competition on the Internet. You were the prize. It was then I knew my destiny was to be with you. So far I've had three attempts at winning you. Two attempts not so successful, but one coming so close I realized you were more than a fantasy.

The thought of you gets me through my day, and pushes me to strive have you for my own. I will be sending in more designs in the near future, with the hope of one day winning you, my prize, no matter what it takes.

With all my love,
Cedric

#253: The Power of Voting

"...think about that the next time a friend asks you to help him/her out by voting for him/her...

Ok fine, I didn't mean to sound harsh... But seriously people... If there's anything you learn from reading my blog, learn that every vote counts... YOUR vote counts...

I believe we vote for things more important than videos of course... We also vote for things like ELECTIONS...

May this be a lesson to all you!

Not only in votes, but in everything... YOUR contribution counts! YOU can make all the difference..."
-abang-gitar

As our favorite Indian has stressed, never underestimate the power of voting! Look what it cost Barisan Na 'Weighing Scale'. It's at times like these you learn to value and appreciate the contribution of every single member of a team or (supporting) party. Even through all those persecuting years in Sunday School and even now in Youth Church, this principle is shown through God's grace and revelation that He has a specific, special plan in store for every single one of us...

You don't really see where I'm getting to, are you?

You will, soon. Just a quick recap. The lesson learnt today is: Your vote counts!

Ok. Moving on...

My Threadless.com Submission

Ta-dah! Since a project I'd chose rather not to reveal did not go as planned, simply speaking, I've redirected my graphic designing powers to Threadless. (Old and faithful blog readers may remember a short 'Threadless submission craze') And yes, as I've stressed in the last paragraph, your vote, something I dearly need, is important!

All it will cost you is a few minutes that you have to sacrifice a YouTube video for to sign up and vote for my design! Visit Threadless.com NOW, get yourself an account, and vote!

P/S- Should you have any trouble signing up and voting for MY particular design, not to worry! A 'how to' post (along with color pictures) will be up here in the next few days!

#252: Oh How Life Changes

All of a sudden.

That was how my perspective of things have morphed from one mindset to another. What was once pleasure now seems like misery. People I've held dear before now seem like strangers.

Now I realize. Change has happened.

Change that can make you a better person, or worse. Nasty habits vanish overnight, or maybe the one thing your friends actually liked about you got lost in the process of change.

It's time I got thinking.

I think it's time to change. Whether it's for better or worse, I need to change. Something deep inside of me is yearning for it. I'm tired of the same, old life. Change is happening to me. It's happening now.

The joker in me is lost. The sarcastic, racist, narcissistic insulter is gone. I've put it all behind me, and can only look ahead, hopeful for a better future for me and the people around me.

Change. Life's all about it.

*One may ponder over this sudden change of attitude from the ONCE crazy heck of a boy. But as I TRY to let you understand this change that has happened, let me share a link with you that changed my life and hopefully would change yours too, in the best way possible. CLICK. Don't miss out on this.
